"My biggest fear was actually going to class, because I never took any ballet classes growing up, so I was afraid of being the only newbie with zero experience. But there were new students each week and Jasmin never alienated anyone based on experience. On the contrary, although it was a class she worked with the knowledge of each student which made class really comfortable. My favorite part was being at the barre learning the ballet basics and having classical music playing in the background, made me feel like a real ballerina! If you're looking for a new workout, ballet with Jasmin is definitely a must! During class you will work out parts of your body you didn't even know existed. Even if you don't feel the workout right away you will the next morning!"

"I started taking Jasmin's class because I want to engage in a physical activity that is also an art form. I will have more pride in moving my body if it is an art form, rather than just a work-out. Ballet, fortunately, is both, full force! I have noticed an improvement in my posture. I have become much more conscious of my core through taking Jasmin's class, and I find myself adjusting my posture while I am working, studying, or waiting in line. Often I will come to class exhausted after a long day, and I'll get a boost of energy from the class. Jasmin is a great teacher because she is very patient and attentive to detail. "I was afraid of looking like an idiot, or very ungraceful. I was also weirdly very afraid of how my body would look, of not looking like a ballerina, and feeling these very adolescent body shame issues. I, of course, did not feel any of those ways. The experience was absolutely perfect and I felt graceful and beautiful and proud of my body. The whole space was so welcoming and supportive but helpful and disciplined. Jasmin is an amazing teacher! I really enjoyed learning the routine at the end. It was always amazing to see how to put moves together and learn about your body in space, it helped provide the practical application of the barre exercises, and required this sense of time and space that I appreciate so much. I never thought I would be able to do ballet, or that I would even like it, but Jasmin's class is amazing and every week I leave feeling accomplished and excited, wishing I could go everyday. Her class provides foundational understandings of how the body works in ballet, which help other exercises like barre, pilates, and yoga. I love it and feel like a ballerina!"
